You remember a week or so ago I visited Pall Mall Barbers? Well, while there, I was really smitten (yes, a man can be smitten) with the scent of the oil they used to prep my face for its shave. Turns out, it was their rather magnificent shave oil.
I’ve previously written about smoothing my Resplendent Face Furniture™ with Penhaligon’s Bayolea Beard Oil. Which is lovely, but its scent is really subtle – which is fine, but occasionally I want something with a bit more punch.
Enter Pall Mall Barbers’ Sandalwood and Clove Beard Oil. Obviously, there was little point in me having a whole bottle of their shave oil. The majority of the shaveable real-estate of my face is covered in beard, and is thus unshaveable.
But I can keep my majestic facial hair in tip-top condition with their beard oil. The sandalwood and clove fragrance is bold and masculine. It’s strong, but by no means overpowering. Almond and Jojoba oils keep your beard and skin moisturised, while vitamin E oil helps mop up nasty free radicals (countering the effects of ageing) and its anti-inflammatory qualities helps reduce puffiness (especially useful first thing in the morning).
Unlike the Penhaligon’s beard oil, it also comes with a pump. So it’s not a major mission to try to get it out of the bottle and onto your beard. Clever.
